Vintage Tinplate Hurricane Aircraft Old 1938 Model Box. Vintage tinplate flying model hurricane m. 3 monoplane made by hancor, mitcham london. This model was made to fly with a big rubber band inside powering the propeller & a special mechanical winding mechanism to tension the band. Made from tinplate with card wings it is in superb condition & comes in the original box complete with flying and instructions chart, spare parts list in old money & a letter frmo the monoplane presentation department neal street london. On the side are provisional patent numbers from 1937 & 1938. Apporx 13 inches long & 20 inches from wing tip to wing tip. Teh rubber band is brittle & needs replacing & the box is tatty.
